In order to get a list of 10 designers/ studios/ creatives etc that I am inspired by, I searched through my Instagram saved tab, Pinterest, saved websites (I tend to save websites of the designers I like), It Caught My Eye folder, and camera roll.
I knew that I wanted to explore a range at first - as I don't have a specific plan or avenue to go down for my design future. I would prefer to work in a smaller studio first, preferably up North, to gain some experience and then move abroad to do some work for a bit.
I really enjoy print - so the studios that I have looked into are focused around that: Secret Riso Club and Print Club London. At first I also considered looking into print practitioners such as colours may vary, but I would prefer to be a lot more hand on.
The rest of my chosen 10 are individuals. Some have set up their own studios of a few people or just themselves, some simply work alone. Through my initial research I'm finding inspiration already. Braulio Amado worked for Pentagram for a bit, went freelance, and set up his own studio: BAD Studio, very inspiring.
My chosen 10 are:
Patrick Thomas
Robbie Simon
Adam Griffiths/ Ra Bear
Braulio Amado/ BAD STUDIO
Jay Vaz/ The Mannequin Collective
Nicola Van Acker/ Studio Koevoet
Hannah Pahl
Luke Brickett
Print Club London
Secret Riso Club
