Hannah Pahl is a designer based in Nashville, USA. She attended Western Kentucky University and now works as merchandise and product designer for A3 Merchandise, creating her own prints and t-shirts on the side.
Pahl's work is "fuelled by nostalgia and humour" as she creates witty and self aware designs. She often creates graphics involving political news and is passionate about supporting causes, such as Black Lives Matter.
I'm mostly attracted to Pahl's work due to her clear connotations with retro graphics. However, throughout my research I've realised that design is more of a 'side hustle' for her, as she has a day job working at a merchandise company. This isn't something that I'm really interested in, as I hope to make design my full time practise - working in the print or music industry rather than product design.
WHY?
- Pahl's style is heavily influenced by retro design and nostalgia, like myself.
- Pahl often creates graphics educating people on political news.
