I've been really struggling for the past couple of weeks to produce work due to stress and personal reasons. Thankfully, I emailed Dom and we had a really uplifting and helpful discussion that I think has put me back on the right track.
We discussed the feedback from my last module and identified where I tend to 'go wrong'/ get lesser marks. I really need to focus on the development stage of the design process. Dom reminded me that I CAN design and I AM capable, which I needed to hear, but I just need to put more effort into visually exhausting my ideas.
I need to exhaust my options and interrogate my ideas further by using different visuals and going on different visual tangents. I tend to explore a range of ideas briefly before settling on one but I need to be more exhaustive in the way that I develop an idea.
I need to do this this week - explore ideas, go on tangents etc. so that I have a few digital options to present for feedback next week. This can be done by swapping colour, image, shape, type etc. I also need to continue research to be able to back up my tangents. e.g - the article meg has just sent me about emotion and colour.
All in all, I CAN design, I AM capable, I just need to push myself, take risks, and not put too much pressure on myself.
