Print Club London is a renowned screen printing studio and gallery housed in Dalston, with a dedication to nurturing the printing technique through workshops and studio membership in their fully equipped print studio open 24/7, all year round.
I first started screen-printing at college and have loved it ever since. The idea of working for a studio like Print Club London and being surrounded by printed matter is amazing, and their ideals and ethos' are inspiring. I treasure physical design much more than digital, and have always loved physically making things with my hands. Furthermore, in 2019 PCL released their eco manifesto, outlining how they're doing their best to work as sustainably as possible.
The ideal way of working for PCL would be Amber Henry, the project manager and gallery curator. She began as an month-long intern in 2014, and worked her way up through the roles of studio assistant, workshop manager, and finally her current position.
It would be amazing to speak to one of the team at PCL to discuss their career role/ ways of working. I'm really eager to simply ask what a day in the life working their is like! They run print workshops, hold events, manage social media etc.
WHY?
- PCL are dedicated to creating a high quality print experience.
- They ensure that their practise is as sustainable as possible.
- Working for them also includes educating people through workshops.
- I love print :)
