Secret Riso Club

Secret Riso Club is a Risograph studio in New York, founded by designer Gonzalo Guerrero in his own apartment.

"Secret Riso Club Is A Graphic Design And Risograph Studio That Focuses Its Work On The Intersection Of Social Justice, Art, Design And Community Building. In Our Practice, We Work To Build A Platform That Serves As A Collaborative Space For Developing Ideas And New Content."

Founder Gonzalo Guerrero uses Riso as a tool to experiment and explore ideas around identity, activism, and culture. Guerrero designs and prints his own work as well as others, runs workshops, provides free/ discounted printing for protest and liberation movements, and provides studio time for artists who he sometimes collaborates with.

Being interested in physical print myself, Risograph printing is something I'm really keen to try but haven't had the chance to yet. I find Guerrero opening his own studio to give back to his community really inspiring. Similarly to Print Club London, I love the idea of working for a studio that provides workshops as educating is something that I definitely want to do in one way or another.

WHY?

- SRC is based in NYC, providing a creative hub for designers and print lovers of New York.

- They work with protest movements - enhancing the link between printed media and protest.

- Again, they provide workshops and encourage the people that they've educated to come back and use the studio.
