I can't remember how I came across this, but I found the Instagram page @bod_uk. The owner of the account is anonymous, but I think they're based in Dorset and a self proclaimed 'street botherer'.

The main thing that they do is hi-jacking, whether that be the front cover of newspapers, those headline sign things that you get outside of newsagents, street signs etc. and I was really interested because of my 'newspaper cover-ups' idea/ hi-jacking traditional newspaper things like headlines and articles. 

I think that bod's work is really clever, they're clearly politically motivated and their anger towards the government/ current affairs shows through their use of language and irony. Their method of replacing something that we're visually really used to, kind of links to the irony surrounding the government that they constantly point out. 

It is a really clever way of sarcastically commenting on social and current affairs, but it is a little negative. Instead of pushing positivity they mainly focus on commenting on/ ridiculing the negative. I do, however, really like their 'you are a beautiful person' sign, as the positivity within that context almost creates confusion amongst others which is quite humorous to see. I also think that they way in which they hi-jack signs is interesting, and could be done with a more positive twist.
