Sho Shibuya - Sunrise from a small window

"Sho Shibuya, in this particular moment where we are overwhelmed by bulletins and news flashes, offered us an escape route by painting the panorama of her window in the front pages of the New York Times. The graphic designer born in Japan but raised in New York, during this quarantine created his particular series: “Sunrises from a small window”.

What started out as a way of documenting the days spent at home during isolation has grown into a captivating series that tells the colors of the sky per day. From graduated shades of blue to explosions of bright pink and warm orange, Sho Shibuya with its tones and colors from its window provided a relaxing contrast to the strictly covered titles of the day."
