Self Written Brief

Brief Title/ Working title:

Glad Print

Short Description / Your aims:

We are constantly exposed to Negative News through several different mediums; TV, social media, and print, for example. Sometimes the only option for our mental health is to switch off all together, leaving us uninformed.

Provide people with positive global news to uplift and inform them. You should interrupt our current relationship with the news and urge people to change how they interact with it.

Audience:

Children as young as 8 years old have access to social media. They also have expressed engagement and interest into the news, however, traditional news outlets are not appropriate for them due to their complicated nature and use of explicit images.

Your outcome should be appropriate for for anyone old enough to use social media. This means children as young as 8 years old to the older generation who use social media much less.

Tone of Voice:

Positive, uplifting, informative

Format/ Production Considerations (publication, website, event etc.):

Your outcome must include some sort of printed matter. This could be a zine, a series of posters, a publication, flyers etc.

Range/ Distribution (Additional platforms for communication):

You must be able to reach a wide audience, so more than one form of distribution is vital. One must be print related, the other could be a social media page, a website, a campaign etc.
