My hand made seeded paper arrived! I was very happy to see that it came in 100% recycled packaging and it also came with a list of what seeds are included! - I definitely want to include this information within the publication.
I am so happy with the quality of the paper - it is slightly on the thicker side, a bit more card-like and a beautiful off-white colour. When held up to the light all of the seeds in the paper are a lot more visible. It's has a lovely, delicate feel and I think that it will look amazing with Apfel Brukt.
Because it is slightly thick, it will be amazing to use as a tip in for the mini type specimen within the publication. I am hoping to make it into something really beautiful that people can plant and watch grow.
I've already bound together 2 A5 pieces to make a small booklet with 8 pages. I think that due to the thickness of the card any more would be too bulky - and is also unnecessary, keeping in theme with the entire publication it needs to be concise and not wasteful.
Sadly I don't have a printer at home so I can't print onto the paper - but I plan to use my scanned in booklet as a mockup for my digital layouts!
I also found out when looking at the information for this paper that it can't be used with laser printers because the heat kills off the seeds. I double checked and risograph printers do not use heat - so hypothetically it would be okay to use this paper in a riso printer.
