Further Research - Caterina Bianchini

While doing research for my 502 module I came across Caterina Bianchini - Creative Director and Founder of Studio NARI. Caterina used to do a lot of posters for music events and EP covers. She even did a lot of work for Sub Club which runs the event SUBCULTURE which I have previously researched.

I'm most inspired by Caterina's philosophy of colour, which she speaks about in a talk with It's Nice That:

"How we can use colour to enhance colour. It almost feels like a one stop shop of all these bits and bobs that have come together to create this massive visual that is essentially showcasing to you what's going to be available on that night in this club. All these different artists, DJs, coming together with their eclectic styles and tastes in one venue."

"Using build up of colour and how that can be produced to create something that feels like it's showcasing this diversity, showcasing music and all the different people who go to music and feel different ways when they're in the night club. And just by doing something as simple as using colour and diversifying that across the poster, how it creates this sort of dynamic between the viewer and the poster, and actually the night that they end up going to."
