- Bugge Wesseltoft coined the term Nu Jazz in the late 90s with his album New Conseptions of Jazz
- From Norway and was huge influence on the Oslo Jazz club scene, as well as across the world
- His music is classic Nu Jazz and ho combines classic New Orleans Jazz with ambience and electronica
