Crit Feedback

 - Perhaps the layout is too conventional? It needs to stand out amongst other photography books.

- Think about how it looks on the shelf. How can it look different? Be adventurous.

- Think about how you can balance exciting print productions that emulate Lomography's brand and the practicality of the publication. It needs to be fun and exciting but also has to be useable and sturdy.

- Could use reflective paper or foiling to emulate lens flare

- Could incorporate 35mm into the sizing e.g. the binding space (this could be good as I wanted the size to be non-conventional and a little bit quirky).

-  Think about your print production, what is appropriate? Risograph would be amazing at incorporating bright colours as well as keeping production cost low.

- The way that you print the images could be how the publication stands out from the crowd. What if they're bitmapped and printed on a two colour risograph?

- INTERACTIVITY is key:

- You could make your tip-ins removable so that you could see coloured tints on different photos.

- "make your own book"

- What if the publication simply breaks the traditional rules of the book? It could come apart and be completely re-ordered by the user.

- It could be bound with an elastic band or a belly band.

- Some pages could have perforated prompts that the reader can tear out and take with them when shooting.

- Maybe you receive all of the pages in the envelope and you have to assemble it yourself - the action of winding in the spiral binding is almost like winding your film !!!
