Look specifically at how fast food brands use persuasion to sell their products and in consequence the ethics within design.
Practical:
How can you use that persuasion for good? Re-brand an unpopular healthy food brand to become popular amongst millennials using the same persuasion techniques.
Things to consider:
Unhealthy brands target children through non-broadcast media because it has many restrictions about what you can advertise. Has this created a gap in the market for a brand with a healthy ethos to use the non-broadcast media to target children.
- Research which healthy food brand would be most appropriate. Current favourite: Quaker Oats.
- Research persuasion techniques used by fast food chains.
- Research successful and unsuccessful healthy food brands.
- Research different age groups / markets food is marketed towards.
